Darkcrawl - An upcoming roguelike dungeon crawler

Welcome to the first devlog for Darkcrawl, a traditional turn-based roguelike with a pixel art aesthetic that I have been working on over the past few weeks.

In Darkcrawl, players can immerse themselves in the challenging and atmospheric world of a dark dungeon. Here, you can choose from five distinct classes, each bringing unique attributes and skill trees to the table: the Knight, the Wizard, the Elf, the Dwarf, and the Lizard. Your mission is to navigate through the perilous depths, battle monstrous creatures, and utilize every tool at your disposal to ultimately defeat the Dreamweaver, an ancient entity whose dreams spawn endless horrors.

Despite the traditional turn-based combat system, Darkcrawl offers fluid movement by calculating each turn while the player is moving. Both players and enemies operate within a limited field of vision, adding a layer of stealth to each encounter.

Players can discover and utilize a variety of items, including swords, bows, wands, armor, and potions. Collecting these items and gaining experience is crucial for survival as you strive to avoid the many ways to meet your end in the dungeon.

Only a chosen hero marked by fate can navigate the treacherous paths, conquer the dungeon's terrors, and put an end to the Dreamweaver's eternal nightmare. Who knows how many brave souls the dungeon will claim before the true hero finally emerges?

If you are interested in following my progress on the game, be sure to stay tuned for more updates!
